Having revived, made it marketable and made himself and the sport relevant, Moses Golola is slowing dragging the sport of Kickboxing back to the dogs.

The latest of this evidence is his “World Title” victory over a one Wathaporn Kamunstorn from Thailand at Kati Kati Restaurant in the dawn hours of Saturday.

A source working with CNOOC Engineering & Construction Company gave www.eagle.co.ug a shocking brief profile of Wathaporn.

Wathaporn was born in KatiVota, Thailand in 1986. He came to Uganda in 2008 as a potter and started out as a professional brick layer with Zimwe Construction Company where he worked up to the death of Andrew Kasaga (RIP), the proprietor of Zimwe.

He joined CNOOC Company in early 2012 as casual professional brick layer supervisor and it’s where he works up to date.

As a young growing up boy, Watha (as he is known at CNOOC) liked the Thai kickboxing and tired training in Taichi.

“I was only promoting the fight NOT the fighters” Maureen Mulangira, Fight promoter noted.

The fight got underway at 1:30am after a series of dreary under-cards, and Wathaporn could only manage a straight kick before Golola landed what looked like a slap.

Outrageously, Wathaporn went unconscious on the canvas for close to 10 minutes as he struggled to catch his breath before the first aid team rushed into the ring.

He was later taken to Lisa Medical Hospital, Mengo, in an ambulance for further checkups before being discharged later.

As for the said World Kick boxing Federation (WKF) K1 Light weight title, the belt Golola claims to have won by way of knocking out Wathaporn, according to www.wkfworld.com, the World Kicking Boxing Federation website has Morocco’s Sakhi Samir as the title holder.
