Makindye Magistrate Court has discounted the disobedience case brought against former presidential candidate Kizza Besigye.
The case of disobeying lawful orders against Besigye and others was dropped and immediately Dr. Besigye said he is contemplating suing government for malicious prosecution.
Dr. Besigye and others were dragged to court by police for failure to adhere to their orders as Besigye and his followers were traveling to the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) office on Entebbe road.
This is the second case to be dropped by government in less than two months. Last month, government dropped a similar case against the opposition kingpin in a Kasangati Magistrate Court.
