Member of Parliament, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, tussling it out with Police during the 'this tax must go' peaceful demonstration.

Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi and 11 other suspects who were arrested in Arua fracas have this morning been granted bail and restricted to move in their constituencies in a period of three months.

Justice Steven Mubiru said if they are to move around their constituencies, they have to file a formal application in court.

Former President of forum for democratic change (FDC) Gen Mugisha Muntu, Buyaga West MP, Barnabas Tinkansimiire and musician Eddy Yaweh (Bobi Wine’s elder brother), he and other was fled.

Former LOP and Kasese woman Member of Parliament Winifred Kiiza stood as one of the sureties for the Arua elect MP Kassiano Wadri.

However by midday only 17 applications of MPs including Kyagulanyi, Kassiano Wadri and Gerald Karuhanga among had been heard as others wait in the cell for their turn.

Robert Kyagulanyi was arrested together with MP elect for Arua municipality Kassiano Wadri, Ntungamo Municipality MP Gerald Karuhanga, Jinja East MP Paul Mwiru, former MP Michael Mabikke, and 28 other.

Kyagulanyi was first leveled with charges of illegal passion of fire arms and rounds of ammunitions in General court martial however with guidance of Directorate of public prosecution (DPP) charges were dropped.

The group is grappling with charges of treason and malicious damage of wind screen president’s car that was in procession after holding their conclusive rallies ahead of Arua municipality by-election worn by the incarcerated Kassiano Wadri.
