The South Africa police is holding two Ugandan nationals for issuing out fake sick certificates.

Biral Wayaba and Samuel Mucamba were arrested after an employee at a shopping mall produced a fake medical certificate at work bearing the name of one of the doctors. The employer then contacted the duo in order to verify the information but was surprised when they informed him they had not treated the employee.

Police was called in and on arrival found the suspects ‘consulting’ with another patient. Medical certificates and date stamps bearing different names of several medical practitioners were found in their offices.

Yesterday Wayaba and Mucamba were arraigned before Rustenberg Magistrate’s court and were later released on R2000 bail and their case was postponed to May 20 for further investigation and hearing.
