Before they get their hands on the Azam Uganda Premier League trophy, newly crowned champions Kampala Capital City Authority will look extend a good home run against Sadolin Paints on Friday.
The club has been using Nakivubo stadium as their home ground as they laid the synthetic surface at the Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) stadium at Lugogo.
It is a historical title for coach Mike Mutebi who has won the League for the first time as head coach at the club where he flourished as a player.
KCCA rallied from behind to force a one all draw with arch-rivals, Express FC on Tuesday evening.
Express FC took a first half lead through Vincent Kayizzi’s well taken penalty. The Kasisiro Boys bankrolled by the Kampala City Authority managed to press hard and found the deserved equaliser through enterprising midfielder, Muzamiru Mutyaba.
A guard of hounor by Sadolin Paints FC awaits the new champions on Friday. Despite their inconsistencies this season, Sadolin travel to Kampala with an impressive record. They have lost just eleven of their 29 matches in the league and lay 9th on the log.
KCCA beat Sadolin 3-0 in the first league tie this season.
