One of the pioneer local Television stations in Uganda will soon become history like Sanyu TV.
According to the information in our possession as EagleOnline, the station has reportedly been bought off by Kwese Sports, a continental sports TV owned by Zimbabwean businessman, Strive Masiyiwa.
Soon to be renamed ‘Kwese Sports’, the station is set to broadcast mainly sports and to this effort all the other none sports programs on WBS TV are likely to be scrapped and so are their presenters.
At the moment all of the employees have been told to re-apply as part of the restructuring process.
Meanwhile, sacked WBS TV staff Anderson Luzze, who was fired early this month, seems to have gone on a ‘job-hunting spree’, following several months of work without pay.
We are reliably informed that Luzze has for the biggest part of this week been camping at Serena, hunting for a job at NTV.
Sources say he is reportedly seeking for a job at NTV’s sister station, Spark TV, and has been benching on at the station on a daily and his persistent could pay off.
He was asked to send in his resume and it’s currently still under review. So don’t be surprised when you see him on your screens again. As at eagleonline, we wish Luzze all the best.
