Former Makerere University Spokesperson, Gilbert Kadilo has been appointed as Spokesperson for National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA). After Makerere, Kadilo went to National Forest Authority but with the impending takeover of forests by Uganda Wildlife Authority, Kadilo wouldn’t want to be jobless again and hence the move.
Mr. Kadilo’s appointment took effective late last month and has started work. Kadilo in the interviews tied with Electoral Commission’s Paul Bukenya.
According to sources, Kadilo only beat Bukenya in seniority (experience) otherwise the two gentlemen got same similar marks in interviews.
The other person who applied but wasn’t successful was Helen Kaweesa of Parliament. According to sources, Kaweesa isn’t herself ever since the workaholic Director of Communication and Public Affair, Chris Obore took over the directorate. It is said that after assuming his office, at Parliament Mr. Obore began on the restructuring and in the process took away procurement docket from Kaweesa and thereafter she hasn’t been the same and hence the job hunt.
