Nakawa Grade One Magistrate Noah Sajjabi has ordered the transfer of the 13 suspects charged with the murder of the Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kaweesi from Nalufenya prison to Luzira Prison.
The 13 were charged with murder, robbery and aggravated crime and appearing before court, 30-year old Sheikh Ahmed Shaban Senfuka, a teacher by profession, displayed injuries claiming that they are tortured at Nalufenya prison. The group requested for transfer to Luzira prison.
AIGP Kaweesi was gunned down on March in Kulambiro, a few metres from his home while he was heading to Uganda Christian University for career guidance.
The case has been adjourned to May 18.
