Mercurial former Cranes Captain Geoffrey Massa is nursing wounds as he was shot by police last night in Kireka, a city suburb.
Sources told EagleOnline that Massa, who had parked on the roadside late in the night, was in the company of a lady and sped off as police ordered him to stop.
By press time efforts to contact the police spokesperson were futile. But earlier Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima hsad confirmed the shooting of Massa .
Massa recently retired from the Cranes after captaining the national team for about 10 years.
