Buganda Road Magistrate James Eremye Mawanda has remanded up to May 10, Makerere University Senior Administrative Assistant Edward Kisuze, who is accused of sexually-molesting a former student.
Mr. Kisuze was arrested in April following a photo that went viral on social media, with him allegedly sexually molesting Rachel Njoroge, a student who graduated in January and had reportedly gone to have her academic credentials certified.
Mr. Kisuze, who asked for bail through his lawyer Kenneth Munungu, denied the accusations, saying he only knew Njoroge as a former student of Makerere University.
Ms. Njoroge, a graduate of computing and information science, recorded a statement with police, and Mr. Kisuze has since been suspended by the university administration.
