The committee confirmed Wakiso Giants and URA FC as the only two clubs to acquire full license for 2019/20 season while four clubs; KCCA FC, Vipers FC, Maroons FC and Proline FC have been granted Provisional Licenses.

Clubs with provisional licenses and those that have not yet met the minimum requirements were given an extended period of up to Friday 26th July 2019 to have an inspection of their infrastructure conducted.

Any failure by the club to meet the listed requirements as per earlier communication within the deadline shall mean denial of a license for the 2019/20 season.

A club that is denied a license shall have a right of appeal to the FUFA Club Licensing Appeals Committee.

The board also announced that the deadline for 1st Division Club Licensing process is Friday 26th July 2019 and that no further inspections will be conducted after the deadline.

The FUFA Club Licensing exercise makes sure that clubs are complying with the criteria before they are issued with licenses to play at the start of every season.

Club Licensing is a tool for both the development and benchmarking of professional football clubs. Under the Club Licensing System clubs need to comply with certain criteria to participate in FUFA/CAF/FIFA competitions.
