CHAN 2020 Qualifiers: Final Cranes squad for Somalia clash named

Uganda Cranes Interim Head coach Abdallah Mubiru has named the 18 man squad for the trip to Djibouti ahead of the CHAN 2020 Qualifier against Somalia due on Saturday 27th July 2019 at Al Haji Hussein Guled Stadium, 6pm.

The Squad was trimmed to 18 players after a practice match against Proline FC which ended goalless at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

The 31 man contingent will have FUFA Executive Committee Member Kalyebara David Mukidi as the Leader of Delegation while National teams’ Officer Paul Mukatabala travelled in advance on Wednesday morning to plan for the team’s arrival.

The return leg will be played on August 3rd in at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Uganda Cranes are seeking for their fifth appearance at the 16-team tournament, having played at four CHAN champions in 2011 (Sudan), 2014 (South Africa), 2016 (Rwanda) and lately 2018 (Morocco).

The CHAN tournament will be hosted between January and February 2020 in Cameroon.

Outfield players: Tom Masiko (Vipers SC), Mustafa Mujuzi (Proline FC), Mbowa Paul Patrick (URA FC), Paul Willa (Vipers SC),  Kizza Mustafa (KCCA FC), Ibrahim Juma Sadam (KCCA FC), Kayiwa Allan (Vipers SC), Lwanga Tadeo (Vipers SC),  Mutyaba Muzamiru (KCCA FC), Kagimu Shafik Kuchi (URA FC), John Revita (Express FC), Awany Dennis Timothy (KCCA FC), Serunkuma Dan Muzeyi (Vipers SC), Kyambadde Allan (KCCA FC), Kaddu Patrcik Henry (KCCA FC) and Allan Okello (KCCA FC).
