Uganda Cranes squad to Ethiopia for the international friendly confirmed

The Uganda Cranes squad to travel to Ethiopia for the international friendly match this Sunday in Bahrdar town has been confirmed.

The team set off on Thursday morning with FUFA Executive Committee member Juma Marhan Abdul Hamid as the leader of delegation.

Newly appointed Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry will be assisted by Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, Fred Kajoba (goalkeeping coach), McCarthy Alexander Michael (fitness coach), Emmanuel Nakabago (team Doctor) and Frank Bumpenje as the kits Manager.

Two other players Allan Kayiwa and Kirizestom Ntambi, both locally based have been added to the traveling team.

The intentional break will be used to prepare some of the players for 2021 AFCON qualification campaign that starts in November when Uganda Cranes plays Burkina Faso and Malawi.

Most locally based players have not been called up due to their residential camp starting on Monday to prepare for the second leg of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers against Burundi on Friday 18 October in Kampala. Cranes have a 3-0 advantage from the first leg.
