Director of Makerere Institute of Social Research at Makerere University, Prof. Mahmood Mamdani has been appointed as the new Chancellor of Kampala International University (KIU).
His appointment follows a successful end of tenure of Prof J. M. P. Sebuwufu, who has served diligently and with total commitment, for which the University is greatly appreciative.
Prof. Mahmood Mamdani has influenced global higher education and other aspects of human development. KIU will immensely benefit from his rich academic, professional and international repute. KIU, remains the leading Private University in Uganda.
