Bobi Wine to name and shame state actors who approached him with money to join Museveni

Must read

Presidential aspirant and Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has threatened to reveal all state actors who have tried to persuade him to discard his ambitions to run against the incumbent President Yoweri Museveni in 2021.

Bobi Wine said in a press briefing where he casted more light about his academic documents and his year of birth.  He said in a few days, he will name and shame all individuals who have been approaching him to stand down for president Museveni.

“There are a lot of people who have come to me promising billions of money. I will not heed to their pleas but continue pursuing my dreams.”  He said adding that the state uses a lot of tricks to distract as and as you see many have left us.

“The state employs violence, intimidation but we shall not relent. You are all aware of the imposters who claimed that we illegally changed the party leaders. They purport to be party members but without membership cards,” he said.

Earlier this month, a renowned lawyer Male Mabirizi protested the MP’s year of birth saying that it is not true that Bobi wine sat for Uganda certificate of education exams at the age of 14. He went on to petition Uganda electoral commission to avail him with academic papers which the MP filed when he contested in Kyadondo East.

The availed academic papers indicate that the MP failed mathematics at ‘O’ level and general paper at ‘A’ level. This sparked discussions on whether the MP is suitable to lead the country after failing the two subjects. On the other note, the MP missed a first grade by one aggregate at ‘O’ level.

“The issue of my academic documents and age have been brought up to derail our struggle. I want to encourage all the students out there who miss exams because they haven’t paid fees on time that I went through the same.”  He said adding that the world is looking for people who have done something, not how they did it.

He explained why he explained why his age does not merge the academic and other documents. He said he was born on February 12, 1982 not 1980 as the detractors allege. He said his elder brother was born on October 23, 1979 so there is no way that his late mother bore him in 1980.

Wine said he went to St Mary Goreti Kamwokya in 1986 (P.1), Alia P/S Kamwokya in 1987 (P.2), Kanoni UMEA P/S in 1988 (P.3), Kasasa P/S in 1989 (P.4), Kanoni R/C P/S in 1990 (P.5), St. Aloysius P/S in 1991 (P.6) in the same year and School, his late father was advised that due to brilliance of his son, he register for Primary Leaving Examinations for P.7. He registered and passed the exams. His father then had to increase his son’s age for him to sit the exams.

He then joined St. Maria Goreti for senior one in 1993, brainstorm academy Lubaga and Kitante Hill secondary school where he completed S.4 in 1996.

In 1997 he joined Alliance Advanced school Kamwokya in 1997 for S.5, Lubiri SS same years but term two, Kololo SS same year for term three, and S.6. He then Joined Makerere University for bachelor’s degree. He later dropped the course and applied for a diploma in Music.

Kyagulanyi said the contestation of his age was cleared a long time ago and anyone going against him is years behind. He said that he applied to UNEB so that he can have his names and spellings and the date  of birth changed to the original date and year of birth it was objected to.

And this indicated on his first passport he acquired in 2000. He said all this was cleared before he joined politics.
