Speaker Kadaga
 A man has been arrested within Parliament premises this afternoon with the head of a child, wrapped in a box as a gift to Speaker Kadaga.
The man whose identity is not yet disclosed, was intercepted at the parliament gate opposite the National Theatre by security while trying to access the Speaker’s office.
According to sources at Parliament, he is being detained at Kibuli and the police have started further investigations.
The smartly dressed and calm man was later arrested and briefly detained at parliamentary police before whisking him off to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Crime Intelligence (CID), Kibuli.

“Parliament confirms that a man has been intercepted at its gates trying to allegedly deliver a suspicious package to the Speaker. The man has been arrested by Police and taken to CIID headquarters in Kibuli for further interrogation as investigations go on.” Parliament confirmed

According to our reporter at parliament, the man confidently checked it in at the southern gate opposed to the National Theater. The security personnel asked him where he was going and he said he was going to the speaker’s officer to deliver a gift.

The officers became suspicious and asked to check the gift which he accepted. On seeing it, they reported that it was a child’s head. He was later detained at parliament police as investigations go on.
