There is tension among university final year students upon receiving final examination time tables.
They are facing tough moments of handling lectures, course works, tests and revising for final examinations.
Universities like Makerere, Kyambogo, Makerere Business School (MUBS), Kampala International University (KIU) and Uganda Christian Universities have already released the first drafts of the final examinations. The time table indicates that examination will start on November 16, and end in December.
By the time education institutions closed due to #Covid-19, university students had class works, course works and tests undone.
According to Davis Alimpa, a finalist at Makerere University, upon receiving the time tables, most students have buried their heads into the books to avoid getting humiliation in the end.
He asserts says challenge is handling class work, course works and tests which all have come at the same time.
David Ouma a finalist of Makerere Business School says, for him things have run out of his hands as he spends sleepless nights. He notes that he has never gone through the situation he is going through now.
Kellen Mungulene from Kyambogo University told Eagle Online that if it is possible, the university should extend the dates set for examinations because they still have a lot to cover. She says at least they can come back in January for final exams.
Moses Osiya from Kampala International University is worried whether some of them will do exams since the university requires all students to have cleared all the university dues to sit for final exams.
Some of the students suggest that in order for them to prepare well for final exams, the universities should have scheduled it to take place in January 2021. By doing this, it will help them even to clear their school fees since they are finding challenges in the shortest time they are given.
