Roofings Limited and Roofings Rolling Mills Limited have dragged Roko Construction Limited, a civil engineering and construction company to Commercial Division of High Court for failure to pay a debt.
Through their lawyers of Simon Tendo Kabenge and advocates, the two companies aver that they supplied construction materials which include steel bars, iron sheets to Roko for a number of projects however it had declined to pay for the materials.
According to announcement in Newspapers, in an insolvency petition, the two manufacturing companies want Commercial Court to wind up Roko construction Limited for failure pay its debts and honor a statutory demand.
“The petition is directed to be heard before court sitting at the Commercial Division on a date to be appointed by the Trial judge,” reads in part of the advert
In September 2020, Specialized Coating Uganda Limited dragged Roko to Commercial division of High court for failure to pay Shs336 million. The sums rose from paint they supplied on various construction sites of Imperial mall and Namugongo martyrs’ shrine.
