Greenhill Academy Secondary School has closed after several students tested positive for the new variants of #Covid-19.
The revelation was made by Mr. Wilberforce Kamengo, the school headmaster of the school.
The closure comes at a time when there are a surging numbers of #Covid-19 cases in the country with the ministry of health working around the clock to contain the new variants from India, and European countries.

In a circular to all parents, Mr. Kamengo said; “We have registered a few confirmed cases and as a result, we are sending students home for two weeks to curb the contagious nature of the variant and as well disinfect the school environment.”
He said the boarding students will be expected back on June 13th between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM and day students report back on June 14th and 7:00 AM.
“In the meantime, we shall conduct online studies for the two classes S.1 and S.2 beginning Friday 4th June 2021,” he said.
President Yoweri Museveni is this week expected to address the Nation, giving new measures to curb the spread of the new #Covid-19 variants.
