Minister Kasolo praises Letshego for supporting gov’t by giving jobs to locals and offering better services

Finance State Minister in charge of Microfinance Haruna Kasolo has praised Letshego Uganda for employing locals and offering both treatment and donations during the #Covid-19 pandemic.
Minister Kasolo made the remarks at Letshego head office on Wampewo Avenue in Kololo while paying a courtesy call to Letshego. Kasolo said amidst the pandemic, Letshego had shown true colours of a a true friend to Uganda.
“Government is supposed to employ Ugandans and you’re our people. You’re our partners, we must protect you, work with you and support you,” Kasolo said.
He also applauded Letshego for their participation in the fight against #Covid-19 through donations and treating patients.
“Many organizations have not done this, treating a #Covid-19 patient requires a lot of money so bravo Letshego,” he added. Minister Kasolo is on a tour of registered microfinance leading institutions in the country.
Present was the Letshego Uganda Chief Executive Officer Germany Giles Aijukwe and the senior management team and members from the Finance Ministry.
“Our doors remain open to assist our esteemed customers countrywide across our 44 branches,” remarked Giles Aijukwe.
Letshego is a microfinance company that offers SME loans, mortgage loans, and education loans, among other forms of lending. The company also offers savings accounts.
