Uganda Cranes will take on hosts South Africa in the plate Semi-final after both sides were eliminated from the main tournament at the on-going 2019 COSAFA Cup.
The match will be played on Tuesday 4th June at the Moses Mabhida stadium.
Cranes were knocked out of the main tournament by Lesotho by 3-2on penalties following a goalless draw in normal time while the Bafana Bafana drew 2-2 with Botswana after 90 minutes and then lost 4-5 on penalties.
The other plate semi-final will be played between Comoros and Malawi who were dumped out by Zimbabwe and Zambia respectively.
The eventual winners at the semifinal stage will face off in the plate final where the champions will smile home with 100,000 Rands (approximately Ugx 25m).
Lesotho and Zimbabwe booked their spots in the final with victory over Uganda and Comoros respectively on Saturday.
Botswana will face Lesotho in the gold semifinals while the other semi-final will be Zimbabwe up against Zambia to set up the main final.
Uganda is the guest country at this year’s COSAFA Cup tournament in Durban and started at the quarter-final stage against Lesotho.
