President Yoweri Museveni has announced that selected arcades will be allowed to re-open while curfew will be extended from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
He said 110 arcades would open after they were thoroughly inspected by the joint inspection committee.
Salons will also be re-opened with both the hair dressers and their clients adhering to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) like temperature measurement and hand washing.
The President also announced that boda bodas will be allowed to carry passengers up to 6:00pm. The boda bodas would resume working on July 27 after the Ministries of Health, Works develop Standard Operating Procedures.
The restriction to 6:00pm, according to the President,is because of the “criminality” that boda boda riders engage in.
Boda boda riders will also be required to record the details of every customer they carry.Boda boda riders will also be required to have temperature guns to measure the temperatures of their customers.
Entebbe International Airpot will, however, remain closed until the situation abroad stabilises,Mr Museveni announced.
On schools, Mr. Museveni said, they would remain closed until September but declained to declare a dead academic year. For places of worship, he said they would reamin closed.
