Ms Dorothy Kisaka has taken oath as second substantive Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), following her appointment by President Yoweri Museveni.
She was sworn in by the Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet John Mitala in the presence of the Minister of Kampala Betty Amongi, the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and KCCA councilors.
Kisaka replaces Eng. Andrew Kitaka who has been in acting capacity since Jennifer Musisi Ssemakula resigned in December 2018. She took an oath along Eng. David Luyimbazi and Grace Akulo who will respectively serve as Director Administration and Human Resource.
Kisaka has until the appointment been the Deputy Head of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit and secretary of the COVID-19 response task force, the jobs she is hailed for having effectively executed.
She pledged to work towards Minimizing interruptions to development by building bridges that promote peace across the different stakeholders.
The Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago welcomed her to the authority saying; “It is my singular honour and privilege to welcome you all, ladies and gentlemen, to this auspicious occasion as the New Leadership of the Authority is being inaugurated and ushered into Office,” He said.
“I should state right from the outset that it’s by the Grace of the Almighty God and, obviously, the mighty will of the people that I am finally back at the Lord Mayor’s Parlor,” he said.
