The quarter-final fixtures of the ongoing Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania have been confirmed.
The Uganda Hippos, who are playing in their first-ever U-20 Afcon tournament, finished second in group A and will face group B winners Burkina Faso at the Stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya in Nouakchott on Thursday.
Group A winners Cameroon will entertain Ghana, who qualified as the third-best in group C in a West African derby in the first quarter-final fixture on Thursday at the Stade Olympique.
The young Atlas Lions of Morocco affirmed a place as group C winners in the last eight where they will take on Tunisia in a North African derby on Friday in Nouadhibou.
The Young Scorpions of Gambia made it to the knockout stage for the first time in 14 years when they finished third at the 2007 edition in Congo Brazzaville; they will face the Central African Republic in the quarter finals.
