Kira Road District Police Commander-DPC Mathias Turyasingura has succumbed to Covid-19.
He died at Mulago National Referral Hospital where he had been admitted.
This comes at a point in time when the Ministry of Health has warned Ugandans about the daily increase in infections mainly due to India’s calamitous second wave.
To date, Uganda has so far recorded 44,074 cases of Coronavirus and 358 deaths registered.
