Tooro United and Arua Hill Sports Club have earned direct promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after topping the Rwenzori group and Elgon group respectively.
In the 14 games of the season, Arua Hill won eight matches and picked six draws, finishing with 30 points while Tooro United won nine, drew four and lost only one game finishing with 31 points.
Arua Hill registered a 3-0 triumph over Paidha Black Angels while Tooro beat Kigezi Homeboyz 1-0 to attain automatic promotion on the last day of the season. The two teams will be playing in the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League season.
Arua Hill will be making their debut in the Uganda Premier League while Tooro will be making a return after one season in the FUFA Big League.
The third club to join them in next season’s top flight league will be determined through a promotional play off involving four clubs; Gaddafi, Blacks Power, Proline FC and Nyamityobora.
Gaddafi will take on Nyamityobora and Blacks Power will play Proline in the semi-final on a date yet to be confirmed by FUFA.
Mbale Heroes and Paidha Black Angels were the two teams demoted in the Elgon group while Kigezi Home Boyz and Terrazo & Tiles were relegated in the Rwenzori group.
