Buganda Road grade one Magistrate Robert Mukanza has set November 19, as the date he will deliver his ruling on whether to commit Susan Magara murder suspects to High Court or not.
His decision followed the tabling of committal documents presented by Patricia Cingitho from Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) indicating that police has finalized its investigation in line with the gruesome killing of Susan Magara.
The Defence layers led by Evans Ochieng asked Court to order for production Patrick Kasaija aka Pato who is allegedly incarcerated in South Africa for prosecution or amend charge sheet for the arrest to be committed to High Court.
The suspects include: Yusuf Lubega, Hussein Wasswa, Muzamiru Ssali, Hajara Nakandi, Abubaker Kyewolwa, Mahad Kasalita an Imam at Usafi Mosque, Hassan Kato Miiro, Musa Abbas Buwembo and Ismail Bukenya.
Prosecution avers that, Ms. Magara, 28, was in February kidnapped by unknown assailants on her way home in Lungujja, Lubaga Division, tortured for three weeks and killed after her agonizing family paid ransom of over Shs700 million.
