Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has revealed that Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II is suffering from an allergic health condition caused by pollen, animal dander, dust mites and mold.
During celebrations to mark his 66th birthday, Kabaka’s subjects were outraged by his health condition in that he could easily breathe and on a sad note, he didn’t address them.
The Royal family however revealed that the Kabaka has been sick for some time and said that he is currently in a stable condition.
“Kabaka has been unwell for a while. However, he has responded well to the prescribed medication and his medical team is positive about his prognosis. The Royal Family would like to express their gratitude to the public for their good wishes as well as for their concern towards Kabaka,” Royal family said.
And today, Katikkiro has come out and revealed that Kabaka is out of danger and is on the right track to recover. “We have qualified doctors who are attending Kabaka and we hope that he will recover in the shortest time possible. Disregard all protracted and baseless media reports indicating the Kabaka was poisoned. Those are total lies” he said
“Kabaka is the most loved and respected and I don’t blame his subjects for being outraged about Kabaka’s health condition. We can’t speak about Kabaka’s health condition since we are not doctors and flying a patient out for further medication depends on doctors.” he said
Katikkiro refuted all claims that he was relieved of all his duties in the Kingdom for allegedly allowing the frail and ailing head of the kingdom to appear before his subjects as he marked his 66th birthday.
He confirmed that Kabaka was yesterday at capital shoppers along Ntinda-Nakawa Road noting that he wanted to do personal shopping.
Kabaka and Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda have today been vaccinated against Covid-19.
