With exactly nine days left to the match, the Uganda Cranes team has resumed training in preparation for their 3rd Group D World Cup qualifier against Egypt to be played at Mandela National Stadium.
The Cranes first preparatory training session was held at Namboole Stadium in Kampala with twenty-one players taking part, majorly focusing on their physical fitness. The locally- based players will be joined by foreign based colleagues over the weekend after their league games with respective clubs.
Meanwhile, Cranes Interim coach Moses Basena will name the full Squad for the Egypt encounter on Wednesday, August 23 at a press conference that will be held at the FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.
The return leg will be held five days later at the Arab El Borg Stadium in Alexandria City, Egypt.
Uganda is second-placed in Group D, two points behind Egypt. Cranes played to a goalless draw with Ghana in Kumasi and defeated Congo 1-0 in their first two matches.
