Government has come out in a media release refuting reports circulating on social media platforms alleging that the Danish Embassy in Uganda has rejected new Ugandan East African Community (EAC) passports.
According to the media release published on Friday, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is still entering the new Ugandan EAC passports into their system.
The media release says government informed and issued samples of the new EAC passports to the Danish Embassy in December 2018.
“So far, there have been two Ugandan visa applicants with the new passports who intend to travel to Copenhagen in April 2019. The applicants have been assured that their applications will be processed as soon as the registration process is completed,” the media release says, urging the public to be patient as the Danish authorities sort out the issue.
