The internal squabbles at Dfcu bank continue to emerge in the public domain. The latest is a leaked document of the Managing Director Mathias Katamba loan application written on July 24, 2019.
Katamba is need of about Shs862.3 to refinance a house mortgage he acquired while still heading Housing Finance Bank. He had acquired the mortgage at Shs1.3 billion but had cleared Shs965 million.
Sources say Katamba’s huge loan application that came about seven months after join Dfcu bank, has not gone well with the colleagues he found there. Katamba officially joined the bank on December 1, 2018 on a contract of five years. His loan facility is to run for eight years.
Katamba’s loan application only weeks after hackers interfered with the bank’s system, taking off with money believed to be in billions of shillings.

Dfcu is embroiled in an internal fights between camps that emerged when Mr Katamba as Managing Director. It is alleged that one camp is led by or supporters of William Sekabembe and that perceive Matthias Katamba as a new comer.
