Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has commissioned Luyanzi Institute of Technology and the Confucius classroom in Bweyogerere, Wakiso district where a number of vocational skills and technical skills are going to be taught to Ugandans in addition to teaching them Chinese lingual and culture.
The first intake will take up 500 Ugandan youth that will be drawn from across the country.
The ceremony is being attended by the state Minister for cooperatives Fred Gume, the deputy Chinese ambassador to Uganda, the head of Makerere University Confucius Institute among other.
