Uganda has registered four news cases of #Covid-19 and all the four are Tanzanian truck drivers that entered the country.
Uganda has now 79 confirmed cases of #COVID-19. Uganda has registered success as over 45 patients that had previously tested positive have been discharged after under going successful treatment.
“Four new #COVID-19 cases confirmed today out of the 1,578 samples tested among truck drivers. All new confirmed cases are Tanzanian truck drivers who arrived via Mutukula border. 411 samples from communities tested negative for #COVID-19. #COVID-19 confirmed cases are 79″ reads the statement posted on the social media platform of Ministry of Health.
After successful managing the spread of the virus internally, the country is now struggling on how to curtail the spread of the virus from the two neighbouring countries of Kenya and Tanzania by truck drivers.
