Baba FM presenters have been released on Police bond moments after they appeared before Jinja central police station (CPS) over charges of disobeying lawful orders and inciting violence.
They include; Swengere Everywhere, Kalyowa Atanansi, Sir Rio Alton Kasolo and Hassan Muwanga. According to Swengere, when they reached Jinja CPS, Pastor Muwanguzi the coordinator of people power and Hassan Muwanga were also summoned yet they had escorted them as sureties in case they were to be given police bond.
The group was then ordered to report back on August 4baba, 2020.
Swengere said they were asked questions that were not in the line of the cases written on the summons.
The questions include; How many people were at the radio when Bobi Wine was being hosted?, How many people did Bobi Wine come with from Kampala?, Which car did Bobi Wine use on that day?, What was the intention of the dog which was seen at 87.7 BABA FM premises? And what was the intention of the coffin which was found in one of the cars that escorted Bobi Wine?
Meanwhile, Twahir Ddamulira and his colleagues were extended till next week.
According to Swengere, they are accused of hosting Bobi Wine and supporting the People Power movement.
