Uganda Cranes defensive midfielder Khalid Aucho has completed a move to Tanzanian side Young Africans Sports Club.
Aucho has been a free agent after running down his two-year contract at Misr El Mekkasa in Egypt. He has signed a two-year contract with the Tanzanian Premier League outfit.
Young Africans, who finished second in the 2020/21 Tanzania Premier League, will represent the country in the CAF Champions League along with Simba Soccer Club.
Club official Hersi Said said that the club is happy to sign a good player who can help the team win several trophies.
“We believe Aucho brings to the team something special. We are still building and signing more players,” added Said.
The midfielder has previously played for Tusker FC and Gor Mahia FC in Kenya, Serbian sides Red Star Belgrade and OFK Beograd, and East Bengal and Churchill Brothers of India.
