The First Lady and Minister for Education and Sports, Janet Museveni has tested positive for #Covid-19.
The news was revealed by President Museveni on X social media platform.
“On Christmas day, after a family lunch, Maama Janet started feeling kukarataatwa (sandy feeling) in the throat. We did a Rapid Corona test, which was negative. However, we sent another sample to Mbarara for PCR test and it came back positive” President Museveni wrote.
He said indeed the First Lady was feeling week with headache sometimes and with the kakarakaatwa but immediately on December 26, he had to carry tests on himself so as to decide and manage the problem.
“We therefore, decided for Maama to isolate in one of the houses at Rwakitura while I continue with programmes that we had arranged but not ones where Maama was involved. That is why we could not go Kyenkwanzi or to Alice Kaboyo’s function”.
First Lady id the second person in Museveni’s family to test positive of Coronavirus. The first was Museveni himself hard six months ago.
