Former Kashari County legislator John Kazoora is dead. He is reported to have died at his home this evening. Kazoora, a former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party stalwart, served in several positions in the National Resistance Army before falling out with the system. RIP Maj. Kazoora.
He and others formed Parliament Advocacy Forum (PAFO), a platform that advocated for democratic change within the National Resistance Army/Movement that eventually gave birth to NRM/O party.
However, his and other assertiveness was perceived by the Kampala leadership as opposition, hence edging most of PAFO members to seek alliance with Refirm Agenda of Kizza Besigye, Regean OkumuBeti Kamya among others that gave birth to FDC.
He was vocal and represented Kashari extremely well. He was among the young firebrands of the struggle that exposed the rot within the system.
By the time of his death, he was laid back, given the disagreements with the FDC.
