Former Secretary to the Treasury and also Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Chris Kassami has been laid to rest in his home district of Kabarole.
Kassami who many have praised and accredited for Uganda’s economic resurrection was laid to rest this evening. He died last Friday.
President Yoweri Museveni joined other top dignitaries the burial and recognized the role played by Kassami in the both stability and economic transformation.
He retired in 2013, from the Ministry at the age of 65 years. He worked in the Ministries of Education and that of Transport where he spearheaded the Road Formation Unit before heading to the Treasury/Finance.
