More than 30 managers and staff from Centenary Bank’s central region branches gathered together at main branch, Mapeera along Kampala Road in a team building event aimed at fostering closer relations and enhancing engagement amongst them.
The half day event was organised by the bank’s HR Business Partnering and saw a variety of fun and engaging activities which included chess, table tennis, pool and darts and other games.
“The reason we decided to go in the direction of sports because it is not only a good way to blow off some steam but also one of the ways they can identify the best players at different games for the Banker’s Gala that takes place every year in October,” said Bob Trubish, Chief Manager HR Business Partnering.
“All members of staff including those who work in the various branches of the country get to participate in these activities according to the region they are located,” he added.
Centenary Bank last year had more than 1.3 million accounts, which is about a quarter of the market. In terms of assets, the bank is the fourth. In terms of deposits, the bank is the fourth at 9 per cent of the market, while in terms of loans, it is the third.
