The main witness against Aaron Baguma in the Dona Betty Katushabe murder case is fighting for his life after unknown hit men beat him into coma.
Hit-men armed with iron bars waylaid the Amon Twesigye around Nakulabye where he resides in a hotel and tortured him and left after realizing he was dead. However, he was saved when noisy drunkards approached the place and later on found him and took him to hospital where he is fighting for his life.
Twesigye is a student at the Law Development Centre (LDC), is the main witness who tried to rescue the deceased Katushabe while she was in illegal captivity at Sebuwufu’s car bond and in his testimony he alleges that he witnessed beatings.
According to his friends at Nakulabye, Twesigye says he was being spied on and has received many threatening calls. The case due in court on Friday October 7.
Baguma was granted bail on September 8 by High Court Judge Justice Wilson Masalu Musene. He had been on remand at Kigo Prison for ten days in connection with the murder of Katusabe at Pine Car Bond in Kampala in October 2015.
