The Nakawa Member of Parliament Michael Kabaziguruka has been granted bail by the High Court presided over by Justice Yasin Nyanzi.
MP Kabaziguruka has been on remand, held at both Kigo and Luzira prisons, for about 6 months, charged with treason.
A Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) stalwart, Kabaziguruka defeated Fred Ruhindi of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the February 18 general elections, but only managed to make the maiden appearance and swore in before he was arrested.
