“Why does NTV continue to deal with this man (Andrew Mwenda) when it is clear that he is very biased, he lacks integrity, he doesn’t have Ugandans’ interest at heart, he is not decisive (as his positions about key issues keep on changing overtime),” read a petition that later ended up seeing Mwenda shown the exit from NTV.
Viewers, wanted Mwenda off NTV henceforth petitioning the station’s management. Following consistent pressure from viewers NTV’s management finally dropped him from his segment of ‘NTV News night’.
It has been close to a year since he last appeared on our screens. Well, he is back on TV. The motor mouthed journalist has joined NBS TV.
He will be appearing on his own show, ‘NBS Blink’ a weekly show that will be airing every Monday, with the premiere having been yesterday.
Unlike on NTV, where he was a guest, he is a host of the ‘NBS Blink’. At NBS, he joins his former host on the ‘NTV News night’, Charles Odongotho. Odongotho was the first to leave NTV after he was dropped by the station following a disagreement with the then ‘untouchable’ Mwenda.
