The Director General of Internal Security Organization (ISO) Col. Frank Kaka Bagyenda has disclosed that investigations into the serial deaths of foreign nationals including four Europeans and an American national, are underway.
According to Col. Kaka, such matters are supposed to be carefully handled to get positive results, he said, adding that the National Security Council will soon meet over general security matters in the country..
“Give us room to carry out investigations for culprits to be brought to book,” the ISO DG said on phone.
But prodded on the nature and developments in respect to the investigations into the death of foreigners, including allegations linking their deaths to forgery carried out by security personnel, Col. Kaka said: “For further information about the arrest of suspects implicated in the forgery of a letter that was presented at the receiving of two foreigners who died in Sheraton Hotel and the Pearl of Africa Hotel, please contact my minister (Security Minister Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde).”
The ISO DG also said his organization operates in a discreet way to achieve positive results. “The organization (ISO) is in the kitchen cooking, unlike other security operatives who arrest and the next day parade and release suspects,” he said.
Last month Alex Nordlarndar Sebastien Andreas, a Swedish national and Terasvouri Tuomas Juha Petteri, a Finnish national, were found dead in two upscale hotels: the Sheraton Hotel and the Pearl of Africa Hotel, after they allegedly entered the country on a forged invitation letter.
And today, the police spokesperson Emilian Kayima disclosed that two European nationals, German national Hans Jurgen Vallant and Belgian national Eric Ymovr were found dead at different locations.
Also, American national Montie Guy Watson was last week found dead in Murchison Falls National Park, bringing the number of whites found dead mysteriously to five, over the last two months.
