The former Permanent Secretary to the Judiciary, Expedito Kagole Kivumbi is dead, the Judiciary has announced.
A statement from the Judiciary Senior Communications Officer, Solomon Muyita shows that Kivumbi, aged 58, died on Sunday evening at Le Memorial Medical Services at Kitiko-Lubowa Kigo road where he was admitted a week ago.
“The Judiciary with deep sorrow announces the sudden death of its immediate former Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary, Mr Kagole Expedito Kivumbi, which has just occurred at Le Memorial Medical Services at Kitiko-Lubowa, Kigo Road. He was admitted at the facility one week ago,” a statement from the Judiciary read.
“The Judiciary is working closely with the family to coordinate the funeral arrangements, and they’ll be communicated subsequently. May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.”
Kivumbi became Judiciary PS in 2019 was sent on forced leave for alleged mismanagement of more than Shillings 34 billion and replaced by Mr Pius Bigirimana who had been serving as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Gender and Social Development, in July 2019.
