Uganda Premier League side Vipers Sports Club have unveiled Brazilian manager Roberto Oliveira aka Robertinho as their new head coach.
The Brazilian has signed a three year deal and will be deputized by Portuguese Marcelo Cardoso.
Robertinho has managed Tunisian club Stade Tunisien and Rayon Sport in Rwanda. He has also previously coached Brazilian clubs; Americano and Fluminense.
The Vipers Sports club president Lawrence Mulindwa said; “We wanted a coach that designs a suitable model of football, with identity, appreciate the young talent and a leader. Most importantly, wanted a coach who would be able to turn us into professionals.”
“I want to thank whoever has been involved in the process and we got the right candidate,” he added.
Oliveira replaces Fred Kajoba who stepped down from his role in May 2021 after he chose to work with the Uganda Cranes as the goalkeeping coach.
