President Yoweri Museveni who doubles as Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces has promoted 76 UPDF officers.
Among those promoted is Deputy Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) boss Col Abdul Rugumayo from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General.
62 have been promoted from Captain to Major and 13 from Lieutenant to Captain.
