SC Villa President Eng. Ben Misagga has said his team could go all the way and become the first Ugandan club to win the CAF Confederation Cup after they edged past Zanzibar’s JKU 4-0 in the first leg of the 2nd round of the competition at Namboole Stadium on Saturday.
“Perhaps, it is too early to start talking about winning the title, but I can tell you that we have learnt a lot on how to hold our own on the road and we will now take every match as it comes,” Missaga said.
Goals from Ndera Micheal, Mike Serumaga, striker Umar Kasumba and Godfrey Lwesibawa were enough to ensure the Uganda Cup winners go into the second leg to be played on Friday March18, at Azam stadium in Zanzibar with a very huge chance to progress. The victor between FUS Rabat (Morocco) and Equatorial Guinea’s Deportivo Mongomo who drew on Friday awaits them.
“We will keep our heads at the level and approach it one match at a time. Our objective will always be to earn a good result from every game,” Misagga added.
