President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon arrived in the Ethiopian Capital Addis Ababa on a two day working visit to the Africa Union commission to attend the African Union High Level Committee meeting on Libya.
Museveni was received at Bole International Airport by Ethiopia’s Chief of Protocol Mr. Mesfin Mideksa, Uganda’s Minister of Defence Adolf Mwesigye, Minister of State for Regional Cooperation Dr. Philimon Mateke, Uganda’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Mull Katende and Uganda’s Military Attaché to Addis Brig. Sam Kiwanuka.
President Museveni headed straight to the AU Headquarters where he joined other Heads of State attending the AU High-Level Committee meeting on Libya.
The high level committee that comprises eight AU member states which include Uganda, Sudan, South Africa, Egypt, Mauritania, Tunisia Chad and Republic of Congo is being held under the chairmanship of the President of Chad H.E Idriss Deby the current Chairman of AU.
The closed-door meeting is expected to discuss the current developments in Libya aimed at forming an all unity government in Tripoli.
Tomorrow, President Museveni will attend the AU extra ordinary summit on African capacity for immediate response to crises volunteering nations (ACIRC) summit.
