Cancer patient, Carlo Atuhirwe’s body has this afternoon arrived at Entebbe airport from India where she died from.
Atuhirwe last year traveled to India where she had been admitted for cancer treatment.
The body was received at Entebbe by her family, friends and mourners who wore black T-shirts with Atuhirwe’s image featured on them.
The body was later given to A plus funeral services to Masanafu for public vigil.
A 31 year old Atuhirwe was treated with throat cancer which was detected last year and a fundraising campaign was launched by her friends aimed at getting funds for her operation in India.
Atuhirwe passed on at Narayana Hospital Bangalore in India however her body will be taken to All Saints Cathedral Nakasero for funeral service tomorrow June 6 and thereafter, her body will be taken to her ancestral home in Kabala village, Ibanda district where it will be laid to rest on Wednesday June 7, 2017.
