Emulate Luwum Archbishop Ntagali tells Ugandans

The Archbishop of Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali has implored leaders to emulate the deeds of the late Archbishop Janani Luwum saying he followed the example of his master Jesus Christ.
The late Janani Jakaliya Luwum was Archbishop of the Church of Uganda from 1974 to 1977 and one of the most influential leaders of the modern Church in Africa, was arrested in February 1977 and died shortly after in what was termed to be a motor accident.
In his message Ntagali encouraged Ugandans to desist from being self-centered, Love one another saying disunity has increased, ‘’have mutual respect for we all have one identity, renewal and change of attitude upright mindsets and honor God’’.
Adding “I am greatly inspired by the leadership of Janan Luwum, I encourage you to do the same, the gospel has the power to change our thinking, promotion of justice and hardworking, Laziness is a sin ’’.the Archbishop said at the 41st Commemoration of Archbishop Janani Luwum held at Mucwini, Kitgum district.
He encouraged Christians to remain faithful in a bid to finish their races, ‘’the crown of righteousness is awaiting you, our way to eternity is a journey of faith and the reward is the same’’. He added.
Ntagali also preached for reconciliation among Ugandans lauded the late Lumum for standing firm in tough times and preached the gospel.
According to the archbishop immorality is on the increase, people are Christians by name and internally believe in different things that is why disunity continues to surface.
